Hello everyone, Long time small engine mechanic, having a hair pulling issue with a lawn mower in the shop. It's a dixie chopper silver eagle with a 27 HP kawasaki engine. I'm getting a signal to the starter when I turn the key, but all it does is "click" "click". WebMay 29, 2011 · On the bottom of the starter solenoid there's a smaller wire plugged on with a spade connector, Un-plug this wire and test it for battery voltage each time you turn the key to start position. Use a multimeter or automotive test light for testing. If you have voltage each and every time on this wire the starter/solenoid is likely the issue.
